What is in a pack & the rarity ladder

Each 30th Celebration booster pack contains six cards: four foil cards from the main 128-card checklist, one guaranteed foil Pikachu card from the special 30-illustration subset, and one foil Basic Energy. Unlike standard Scarlet & Violet boosters, there is no non-foil bulk — the entire pack is foil from front to back.

The expansion debuts the new “Futuristic Rare” rarity tier illustrated by renowned artist YOSHIROTTEN, showcasing Mewtwo ex (#157) and Mew ex (#158). Collectors should note that all 30 Pikachu cards share collector number 036/128, yet each features a unique illustration by a different artist depicting Pokémon in daytime and nighttime settings. In FoilFox, each illustration is cataloged as its own distinct variant.

Because anniversary expansions do not sell loose booster packs at retail, sealed products are the only source of packs. Across the entire lineup, official retail MSRP delivers an average cost of $5.40 per pack — ranging from $4.33/pack on the Ultra-Premium Collection down to $6.50/pack on Mini Tins.
